- Tralee Mountaineering Club is for adults. Members join in club outings at their own risk. Mountaineering is a strenuous activity that requires a good level of fitness. It is an activity with a danger of personal injury or even death.
- Participation in walks is at the sole discretion of the leader.
- Annual membership is currently 40 Euro.
- Dogs are not allowed on any of the Club walks.
- The club organises 3 separate outings on alternate Sundays in an effort to cater for all those who wish to walk and climb in the mountainous countryside. Walks normally involve a full days activity with 5 to 6 hours of walking.
- All walks in the calendar are graded in accordance with the following scale. Please bear in mind that weather conditions may change the level of a walk. Please do not choose too strenuous a walk. Ask the leader or experienced club member for details if unsure.

Usually a low level walk, though over a considerable distance of approx 15 km, and can involve climbing a peak of circa 750 meters at an easy pace. |

Requires a very good level of fitness and involves climbing a number of peaks of circa 1000 meters, over a considerable distance at a moderate pace. |
| Mountain Walk 3 | Requires a very high level of fitness and involves climbing a number of peaks and steep gullies at a fast pace over exposed terrain. Suitable for experienced mountaineers only |
- Please do not leave an organised walk without informing the leader of your precise intentions.
- Ensure that your level of fitness is adequate for the proposed walk and be properly equipped and self-sufficient in food, drink, clothing and other essentials.
- All participants should bring the following equipment with them:
